This program is designed for dental hygienists who need to break the language barrier in order to better care for Spanish-speaking patients.  Spanish for Dental Hygienists will allow dental hygienists to use Spanish successfully to perform routine duties.  Topics include:  greetings, communication strategies, identifications and introductions, diagnostic questions, dental cleaning, dental x-rays, patient education, patient discharge, and much more.

Approximate Time for Course Completion:  20 hours (course remains active for 120 days)

Command Spanish®, Inc. has awarded 2 CEUs to all participants who successfully complete thisprogram. Command Spanish®, Inc. has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

This program is designed for nurses who work in a hospital and need to break the language barrier in order to better care for Spanish-speaking patients.  Spanish for Hospital Nurses will allow nurses to use Spanish successfully to perform routine duties.  Topics include:  patient body commands and positioning, calming the patient, initial assessment, routine in-bed procedures, routine out-of-bed procedures, treatment procedures, and much more.

Approximate Time for Course Completion:  32 hours (course remains active for 120 days)

Nurses who work in medical clinics and doctor’s offices that serve Spanish-speaking patients will find that our online program, Spanish for Medical Office Nurses will assist them greatly in dealing with those patients.  Topics include:  patient room traffic, intake instructions and taking vitals, assisting the physician in examinations, explaining diagnoses and follow-up instructions, and collecting blood and urine samples.

Pharmacists, pharmacy techs, and pharmacy sales staff who need to speak Spanish in order to better assist Spanish-speaking customers need Spanish for Pharmacy Personnel.  Topics include:  initial contact with customers, insurance issues, first-time prescriptions and refills, administration of medicines, and checkout at the cash register.
