LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to utilize Spanish in order to do the following:
Greet and exchange pleasantries with patients;
Introduce yourself and assist in communication;
Diagnose problems for a patient;
Control body positioning;
Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises;
Give directions for participating in therapeutic exercises;
Give encouragement;
Be able to utilize numbers 0-10.
You will also gain a basic understanding of various differences between U.S. and Latino cultures that are important to know in order to avoid possible misunderstandings.
